First High Voltage Solar Farm
“The Larks Green solar farm near Bristol has become the first high voltage solar farm in the UK to connect directly to the high-voltage transmission network. This 49.9 MW project, combined with a 49.5 MW/99 MWh battery energy storage system, marks a significant milestone in the UK’s clean energy transition. The connection allows for the efficient transportation of clean energy over greater distances and sets a precedent for future large-scale solar projects.”
